Cambodia’s economy is experiencing rapid growth, with the IT and logistics sectors playing a critical role in modernization. The government has prioritized digital transformation by expanding internet infrastructure and promoting e-commerce platforms. This digital evolution is fostering innovation, attracting foreign investments, and enabling businesses to reach global markets. Logistics is central to Cambodia’s economy, especially in supporting the garment and agriculture sectors, which rely heavily on efficient supply chains. Sihanoukville Port and various cross-border facilities are key trade hubs, connecting Cambodia to regional markets. However, the logistics sector faces challenges such as infrastructure gaps and high transportation costs. The National Logistics Master Plan aims to address these issues by improving road networks, expanding rail systems, and adopting digital logistics solutions. Additionally, Cambodia’s young population is increasingly entering IT-related fields, supported by government-led training programs and private sector partnerships. With continued investments in technology and logistics, Cambodia is well-positioned to strengthen its role as a key trade and innovation hub in Southeast Asia.
